I stumbled upon a blog by a car fan in Asian about him recommend to spend time ogling at cars in New York City. I find it quite queer for a man living in Asia knowing quite a bit about what to do in foreign countries for car freaks.
I bet watching and identifying cars make his day (psst, I know how it feels) and it is quite interesting that his recommendations quite worth my time checking out as these cars in the Big Apple are rather ugly and rare.
Check out his blog at Essential Motoring 101.

Ok, I must admit that this post is not suited for the Singaporean auto industry but it sure is a great resource for you before parting your hard earned money for that Volkswagen.
Do keep in mind that the car that may seem good for you does not really prove that it suits you – financially, practically and fashionably.
Here is an article that I think is useful for any of you who are looking for a car and be wary that what you like does’t necessarily what you love.
Read it at Yahoo! Autos – The Best Cars (and Trucks) for the Buck

Here's a video that I covered about some of the potential cars that may end up as timeless classics. Let's examine how does one actually spot a car that could potentially be a classic, and how to identify features that determines a car to be a classic.
Watch the video and tell me what you think in the comments space below.
I have a few blogs and all of them are about cars and wheels. Neither of my blogs have stories about a particular car brand/model and I am thinking of starting a specialised blog. I love cars in general but of late, the one classic offroading vehicle from Land Rover caught my attention -- Defender 110. And because of this new found passion, I've decided to start a blog about it, this time using the Joomla CMS instead of Wordpress.
The learning curve for setting up a Joomla blog will be a bit steep as my team are more comfortable with how Wordpress works so this will be a step into the not-so unknown.
I wanted something not too fancy but presentable enough to highlight the different features of the vehicle and yet easy to the eyes. I am guessing most of viewers or fans of this boxy car are in their 40s or older and they would prefer to have a simple layout. But then again, I might be wrong.
I've shortlisted a few and found the one from Joomlart called JA Sulphur. This theme allows more pictures to be displayed and yet not too many words around it to bore my visitors. Because the Defender is a beautiful masterpiece (to me), I want to have more pictures in my new blog.
Here's a teaser of how the blog will look like, with sample pictures of the beautiful monster:
I am still thinking whether this would be the best or not. I know there are tons of themes out there but hmm.. let me think it over a few days. Wish me luck!
